Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand, as a bi-national society, wishes to extend our formal recognition of the Traditional Custodians and Tangata Whenua of the lands where we work and live and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and future, for they hold the memories, traditions, culture and hopes of first peoples of Australia and New Zealand. We celebrate the rich tapestry of stories, culture and traditions of all communities who work and live on these lands. It is with gratitude we acknowledge the Māori as Tangata Whenua and Treaty of Waitangi partners in Aotearoa New Zealand, for their integral role in the heritage and governance of Aotearoa.
