Post Fellowship Training in colorectal surgery is a two-year course following completion of advanced
training in general surgery and success at the Part II FRACS examination.

Overseas Training
Fellows considering an overseas training year must review the Overseas Training Policy to ensure they meet
the ANZTBCRS requirements and submit the required documentation as part of their application.
Fellows proposing an overseas placement must submit an Overseas Hospital Training Unit Profile,
along with supporting documentation, no later than 31 May of the year prior to the
placement.
Required for submission by 31 May
- Completed Overseas Hospital Training Unit Profile Form
- Application letter from the Training Fellow (reasons for the placement, learning goals, and benefit to long-term practice)
- Signed letter of appointment / agreement to appoint, including planned start and finish dates
- Training Fellow's detailed weekly schedule of duties
- Operative logbook of the previous Training Fellow, covering a minimum of 12 months
