**EXTERNAL EVENT.** Responsible surgery featuring renowned speakers like Prof. Amy Lightner & Prof. Peter Sagar.

 

We are looking forward to welcoming you all to Christchurch, New Zealand in May for the ASC 2024. With a focus on responsible surgery, we have international speakers Associate Professor Amy Lightner from Scripps Clinic, (San Diego, USA) and Professor Peter Sagar from Leeds, UK. Amy has exceptional experience with inflammatory bowel disease and novel regenerative medicine approaches to the management of this. Pete has helped to spearhead exenterative surgery for rectal cancer and rectal cancer recurrence internationally. In addition, Professor Angus Watson from Inverness, Scotland will talk on training the new generation of colorectal surgeons as well as his experience with the ScotCap trial.

The program will span Tuesday through to Friday (inclusive) and offer five masterclasses. Early bird registration closes on 17th March so don't miss out! https://asc.surgeons.org/

Over 150 research abstracts were submitted to the colorectal section alone, of which 20 will be presented verbally.
