ANZTBCRS Exam - for Second Year Clinical Fellows

The exam is an exit exam for second (or later) years only.  First years are not required to sit the exam so that they are able to focus heavily on their research project in their first year.

It will be held on Saturday 19 October 2024. The repeat examination date, if necessary, will be Saturday 7 December 2024.

The exam will be a two-hour written examination comprising 10 questions and will be held in your current city of training. Your local venue, time and exam supervisor will be confirmed closer to the date.

This exam is designed to encourage and assess a reading curriculum rather than operative and clinical care which is assessed by your local supervisor’s reports to the ANZTBCRS.

The curriculum for the 2024 examination is:

1. Clinical practice guidelines for the prevention, early detection and management of colorectal cancer

2. Clinical Practice Guidelines for Surveillance Colonoscopy

3. ANZTBCRS Training Weekend papers 2022, 2023 and 2024 4. Diseases of Colon & Rectum July 2023 - June 2024.

The aim of the syllabus is for ongoing reading from DAY 1.

Past exam papers and ANZTBCRS Training Weekend papers can be found in the Resource Library on the CSSANZ website.
